How do I request LiNKhosting?

You can request LiNKhosting if you’ re a LiNK member. You can sign up with you email and membership number. If you have problems, come to the LiNK offic or send a mail to bestuur@islink.nl

Where can I get my membership number?

You can find you membership number on your membership card or in the mail you got (membership confirmation). If you don’ t have a membership card or you cannot find your membership number? Go to the LiNK office.

What is included in LiNKhosting?

LiNKhosting includes a free webaddress and hosting with 150mb.

How do I install WordPress?

To install WordPress you need:

  • FTP-program – like Filezilla for Windows or Linux or Cyberduck for Mac OS;
  • FTP-gegevens – server, nickname & password. You will receive this information after your request.
  • MySQL-gegevens – server (99% chance this is called “localhost”), database-name, database-nickname & database-password. You probably have to add your own database and database-users. At Yourhosting you make your own password (in Hosting Manager). A webhostingparty will give you  MySQL(-database)-information or explain to you how you can get this.
  • Software: WordPress! – download WordPress for free on WordPress.org(English) or nl.WordPress.org (Dutch).

After collecting this information and installing the FTP-program, you follow these steps!

  • Step 1: Make connection with your webhosting via FTP;
  • Step 2: Upload WordPress;
  • Step 3: Visit you webaddress & finish the steps in WordPress Installation-wizard;
  • Step 4: Ready, sign up on WordPress!

Help I lost my password?

No problem! If you lost your password, you click on ‘password lost’ and create a new password. Did you forgot you email address? Come to the LiNK office and we help you!

How long will it take before my hosting is ready?

A hosting request takes 1 or 2 days.

There are some problemes between outlook, hotmail and live. To solve this you have to add helpdesk@islink.nl to trusted senders.

You add an email by clicking on settings -> Options -> safe and blocked senders -> safe senders and add helpdesk@islink.nl
